Job Overview We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production & Materials Controller/Inventory Controller for the A/F shift to help manage our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee inventory levels, coordinate materials flow, and support production schedules to ensure smooth and efficient performance. Responsibilities To control & initiate the flow & movement of all materials into production lines. Physically picking & moving materials through the warehouses to be staged for production. To control & initiate the flow & movement of all materials from production lines. Physically picking & moving unused materials from production through the warehouses to be returned to inventory. Operate stand up, narrow aisle, deep reach truck & walk behind electric pallet jacks. Work in cold environment (-18°C). All warehouses are temperature controlled for cold storage. Monitor, track & control all raw material inventories. First In First Out Country of Origins Conventional, Organics, Allergens etc Material Specifications such as pack size, cut, variety etc Monitor, track & control all finished goods inventories. Move new inventory from production lines into designated areas within the warehouses. Monitor, track & control all packaging; box inventories bag (poly) inventories pallet inventories (chep/softwood) Ensure that on hand inventories are accurate by Lot & PO number. Complete weekly cycle counts on inventory as required. Provide notice to Supervisor/Manager immediately when discrepancies are discovered. Review all production work orders & ensure correct materials have been selected & required volumes are available. Ensure sufficient inventories for all required production materials are available & prepared prior to each days production start. Use of ERP system (Microsoft Business Central/Aptean). Use of Outlook. Use of Microsoft Excel. Make approved adjustments to inventories in ERP system as required. Run & review monthly inventory report in ERP system for aging inventory.Support demand planning activities by providing timely inventory data to assist in forecasting future requirements. Experience Strong understanding of manufacturing processes Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and record keeping. Ability to communicate effectively across departments A proactive attitude towards problem-solving within fast-paced production environments.
