About Us: Speedy Transport Group Inc. is a family-owned, LTL focused distribution company which was founded in 1941. In addition to LTL transportation, we offer our clients additional services such as, North American logistics, expedite services, and Canada-wide coverage to name a few. Shift: Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday, 11 pm to 7:30 am The purpose of this position is the loading and unloading of customer's freight in a productive, safe, error free, and time sensitive manner. A Forklift Operator will ensure freight is properly loaded and/or unloaded with the proper bill control and supporting documentation. Please note, licensed forklift operators must meet Speedy Transport Safety Training standards. Position Responsibilities: Load/unload trailers according to company procedures. Identification of OS&D freight. Completion of necessary documentation with care. Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure a clean workspace and carry out housekeeping duties when assigned. Position Qualifications: 1-2 years previous warehouse experience is an asset. 1-2 years previous counterbalance forklift experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50lbs Cross dock experience is considered an asset. Written and oral communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and in a time sensitive environment.
