Full job description
Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 litre truck-mounted units to 60,000 litre B-train units. We are looking for a Vehicle Painter and Prepper Body Person with a working knowledge of the standard methods and practices of automotive (HEAVY TRUCKS) painting and of the materials and methods used in painting, prepping and refinishing is required. Responsibilities Spray polyurethane & basecoat – clearcoat Be able to spray different qualities of paint Knowledgeable with Sikkens, PPG and Axalta paints Be able to do heavy trucks Minor body filler Assist in prepping heavy duty trucks and fire trucks before painting Help to ensure that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed and all prior paint-related dis-assembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective repair& Sandblaster Performing diverse and complex trucks body work in the maintenance, repairing, rebuilding, painting trucks, cabs, light, heavy, and/or special service vehicles Hammering-out dents, filling, filing, grinding, sanding, and glazing Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in an Automotive/ Heavy Trucks Industry as a Painter with Body Prep experience Automotive/ Heavy Trucks experience is an asset Willing to learn, reliable, punctual & motivated #IND-HP Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour Experience Painting and Body Prepping: 4 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Benefits Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking RRSP match Application question(s): Do you have your own tools to be able to perform the duties of the position?
