Full job description
We are currently looking to fill the role of Traffic Control/General Labour in Barry's Bay and Eganville, ON. Responsibilities Protect workers by keeping work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches Regularly required to talk, hear and use hands to perform duties Stand and hold a stop paddle for long periods of time Assist with the setup and tearing down of the signs, delineation or equipment and traffic control procedures and other related duties as required Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong work ethic, good attitude, CSA certified steel toed boots A Valid Driver’s License; own reliable transportation to get to worksites Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
