Full job description
Our Saskatoon branch is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Shipper / Receiver. Reporting to the Supply Chain Planner, the Shipper / Receiver is responsible for monitoring and reconciling shipments, order picking, and coordinating the organization and storage of product throughout our Parts department. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work at an efficient pace within our warehouse systems, standards, and procedures. Responsibilities Receive and confirm incoming shipments by verifying quantity based on packing slips and/or purchase orders Prepare outgoing shipments by ensuring they are properly labeled and documented, and arranging courier/freight services Transport and organize product (including loading and unloading vehicles) in the appropriate storage areas by physically moving items and by operating a forklift Record any damaged or defective items according to company procedures Effectively coordinate returns and exchanges, as well as trace missing and lost shipments Complete order picking by gathering information from work orders, determining the quantity and quality of the picked items, and ensuring accuracy in product information Uphold a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company standards by sweeping, removing snow, clearing garbage and debris, and maintaining the general upkeep of our shop and yard Adhere to all Elrus and legislated health and safety rules, policies and procedures including completing safety logs and hazard assessments Provide assistance in other areas as directed by management, including occasionally delivering parts to customer sites Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid class 5 driver’s license Valid forklift operator certification Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role The physical ability to lift up to 50lbs Computer skills including Microsoft Office Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Willing to occasionally be on-call for evening and weekend support Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Experience Shipper/Receiver: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: Class 5 Licence (required) Forklift Licence (required) Work Location: In person Benefits Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Vision care Application question(s): What are your salary expectations?
