Full job description
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Hensall Food’s team as a Sanitation Operator at our Ready Meals Plant in Exeter, ON. The Sanitation Operator is responsible for washing and sanitizing equipment, utensils and production areas at the Ready Meals Plant. This is a full-time position, working the afternoon shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform washing and sanitizing of production equipment, utensils and areas as per Sanitation Lead and Production Manager instructions Perform shift sanitation tasks ensuring RM equipment and areas are cleaned after the run as per written sanitation programs Dismantle and set up production equipment before and after sanitation is completed Provide proper cleaning directions to the support sanitation staff, and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed properly and on schedule Complete/assist in the completion of sanitation checklists/paperwork as per the sanitation program Follow all HC Health and Safety (especially wearing proper sanitation related PPE’s), Environmental, Quality and HACCP policies and procedures Report on all potential quality and food safety issues to the HFI management All other duties as assigned by the Production Manager Job Requirements: Highly motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision Good organizational and time management skills Good verbal and written communication skills Technical knowledge and understanding of equipment functions, dismantling procedures Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel etc. Team-oriented and ability to collaborate with other employees Required Qualifications: High School Diploma 2+ years sanitation related experience or working experience in a food manufacturing facility Hensall Co-op is committed to employment equity and encourages members of the four designated groups to apply.
