You will love it here if you are: Committed to Each Other Fanatically Driven to Succeed Focused on Top Quality Results Committed to Doing the Right Thing About the Role Classic Landscapes is looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Specialist to lead sales for our Tree Care, Commercial Lawn Maintenance, and Snow Removal services. This position will be responsible for generating new business, growing existing client relationships, identifying opportunities across all three service areas, preparing proposals and tenders, and helping clients determine the right solutions for their properties. This is not simply an order-taking sales position. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting in front of customers, developing relationships, finding new opportunities, and turning those opportunities into long-term clients. You will work closely with our Tree Care and Lawn & Snow operations teams to understand client needs, develop accurate and profitable solutions, and ensure a smooth transition from sale to execution. The position reports directly to the Director of Sales and will play an important role in the continued growth of these divisions throughout the Edmonton region and beyond. Key Roles and Responsibilities Develop and close new sales opportunities for Tree Care, Commercial Lawn Maintenance, and Snow Removal services Actively prospect for new clients and develop relationships with property managers, commercial property owners, municipalities, condominium boards, developers, institutions, and other key decision makers Grow existing accounts by identifying additional services and opportunities where Classic can provide value Conduct site visits and meet with clients to understand their properties, concerns, budgets, and service requirements Prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable quotes, tenders, proposals, and service agreements Develop tree care opportunities including pruning, removals, stump grinding, tree planting, plant health care, and other arboricultural services Develop seasonal and multi-year lawn maintenance and snow removal contracts Follow up consistently on outstanding proposals and opportunities to move them toward a decision Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting on upcoming opportunities Build long-term relationships with key accounts and become a trusted resource for their exterior property needs Work closely with operations and divisional leaders to ensure proposed work can be delivered safely, efficiently, and to Classic’s quality standards Ensure a clear and organized handoff of successful sales to the operations team Maintain pricing discipline and focus on profitable, value-driven sales rather than simply competing on price Represent Classic Landscapes professionally in every client interaction while demonstrating our values and commitment to quality Position Qualifications 1–3+ years of sales, business development, account management, landscaping, arboriculture, property management, or related industry experience preferred Experience selling commercial services, maintenance contracts, tree care, landscaping, or snow removal is considered a strong asset Arboriculture knowledge or ISA Certification is an asset, but we are willing to work with the right salesperson who is motivated to learn Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, follow up, and close sales Comfortable developing new business through phone calls, email, networking, referrals, and in-person meetings Strong ability to communicate with multiple decision makers and understand different client needs Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong listening and problem-solving abilities Self-motivated, organized, and accountable Comfortable working independently while collaborating with sales and operations teams High level of integrity and strong work ethic Strong computer skills and ability to work within CRM, estimating, and sales software Valid driver’s licence required Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary plus commission Company vehicle, phone, and computer provided Comprehensive benefits package Established operational teams to support the work you sell Opportunity to develop long-term relationships across multiple service divisions Career growth within one of Alberta’s most established landscape companies If you are a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, finding opportunities, and helping clients take better care of their properties, we would love to hear from you.
