Summary of the job: We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Courier Driver to join our team, operating out of our Fort McMurray branch office. You will be responsible for performing timely and safe deliveries in the area, and the surrounding locations. Please note that this is a physically demanding job requiring constant lifting of boxes and packages which could go up to 75lbs/ 35 kgs without assistance and up to 150 lbs. / 68 kgs. with a dolly. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle (up to a 1-ton cube) to deliver packages. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and exceptional service. Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring they are handled with care. Verify the accuracy of delivery information and obtain necessary signatures. Maintain clear and accurate documentation and records of all deliveries. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety regulations. Follow all required guidelines and processes required to deliver packages. Qualifications Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL). Able to provide a recent 3-year driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points. An experienced and proficient driver, comfortable operating vehicles up to a 1-ton cube on highways and in all Alberta weather conditions (Winter, summer and other inclement weather and road conditions). This role is physically demanding. You must be in good physical condition, able to lift and move objects up to 75 lbs. (35 kgs) without assistance and up to 150 lbs. / 68 kgs. with a dolly on a constant basis, and be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods. Possess CSA-approved safety footwear or be willing to obtain it. Punctual and reliable Possess a strong customer service background with a desire to provide an excellent experience. Previous courier or delivery experience is an asset, but we will train a suitable candidate. Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Is able to read, understand and speak English as a language.
