Position Responsibilities Assess workspaces to ensure tasks are completed safely Read and interpret engineering drawings and component specifications Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems with engineering/service support Perform basic testing to ensure components meet required standards Communicate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to meet company and regulatory standards Safely operate cranes, lift trucks, and other material-handling equipment Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Preferred Qualifications Strong commitment to safety and participation in safety programs Certificate of Qualification from a recognized apprenticeship or technical program (Mechanic, Millwright, Electrician, Engineering, etc.) Experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to perform math calculations at an SSGD level About Astec Industries / Breaker Technology We are a long-standing employer in Grey County and part of the global OneASTEC family.
