We are currently accepting applications for the position of Lumber Yard Associate at our Ashern Branch. This position includes Saturday shifts. Lumber Yard Associate – Ashern Branch Our Lumber Yard Associates stock materials in the yard and warehouse, pick customer orders and assist on deliveries as required. As a valuable member of our team your duties will also include: Ensure orders are accurately picked and loaded, completing paperwork following all company policies and procedures Load, unload and move building materials and related product by hand or using basic material handling equipment in a manner that suits space requirements and eliminates any damage to products Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking Delivers merchandise to destination following safe job site procedures Guides customers through their purchase process in a friendly and knowledgeable manner Completes delivery tickets with accurate documentation of products delivered with notes of any order shortages or changes Completes yard copies with accurate documentation of products received by customer Performs general yard cleanup and help within the yard as required Other duties as assigned by manager The successful candidate will: Show a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service Be physically able to repeatedly lift/carry over 75lbs Drywall delivery experience preferred The ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential Valid Class 5 drivers license Pick customer orders, and loading customers to their satisfaction Comply with all company policies and procedures including the Health and Safety program Be available to work a variety of shifts that include some Saturdays If you would like to build your career with our company, please forward your resume with cover letter, in confidence to: McMunn & Yates Building Supplies Ashern Branch | 16 Highway #6 Ashern, MB R0C 0E0 Attn: Christie Reske For accomodation during the interview process please emial: creske@mcmunnandyates.com We thank all candidates in advance; however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
