Midland Transport is currently seeking a professional Class 1 Night Driver based in Truro, NS . The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a commitment to providing a Superior Quality service. Main Role: This run departs from Truro nightly and typically follow the route: Truro to Moncton. From Moncton to various terminals throughout the Maritimes, Dartmouth, Charlottetown, Saint John, Fredericton, Kentville, or Sydney. Shift: Sun-Thurs (19:00-7:00) What We Offer: Pay rate - $0.56/mile Safety paid quarterly Uniform allowance A flexible health, drug, dental, and vision plan RRSP matching program (5%) Employee & Family Assistance Programs Health & Wellness reimbursements, includes gym memberships, fitness classes or online workout programs 3 weeks' paid vacation Ongoing training and advancement possibilities Please click HERE for our Full Rate Card Move trailers safely and efficiently between the plant and yard Complete regular yard checks, including verifying all equipment onsite, fuel levels, reefer settings, and inside box temperatures Communicate any equipment issues to the Midland Shop or to Logistics for outside carriers, ensuring no compromised equipment goes unidentified Execute other tasks as required Occasional moves between terminals as required Education Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years’ safe tractor driving experience required. Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search. Good communication skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to lift to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
