Position Overview: As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at CFT Group, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operation running strong. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a diverse fleet from loaders and roll-off trucks to trailers and heavy machinery ensuring every piece of equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform. The pay range for this position is $32-45 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certification(s). Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and loaders Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline issues with accuracy and efficiency Complete both shop-based and field repairs to minimize downtime Conduct inspections and identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns Maintain detailed service records and parts documentation Operate safely and follow all company policies and procedures Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in top condition Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment or truck mechanic Strong diagnostic skills across diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems Valid driver’s license is required Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions Independent, reliable, and committed to doing it right the first time Why Work With Us: Group benefits plan – includes medical & dental care Annual boot allowance Hiring referral bonuses – $250 for each successful hire you recommend Growth opportunities in a sustainability-driven company Make a real impact on your community and the environment
