About the Role Rosenau Transport, now part of GLS Canada, is growing its Edmonton terminal and looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling freight, loading and unloading trailers, and supporting the efficient movement of shipments throughout the terminal. Full-time, permanent, year-round employment Competitive hourly pay Monday–Friday schedules — weekends off Opportunities for career advancement within a national transportation network Comprehensive benefits program RRSP program Boot allowance Paid orientation and training Employee Assistance Program Shifts Available Evening Shift Monday to Friday | 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM Overnight Shift Monday to Friday | 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM Responsibilities Safely load and unload freight from trailers Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with established safety procedures Use RF scanners to support shipping and receiving activities Review and sign manifests, identifying and reporting any irregularities Move, stage, and organize freight throughout the dock and warehouse Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all company policies, procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, drivers, and customers Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For 1–2 years of warehouse or dock experience At least 1 year of forklift operating experience Previous experience loading and unloading trailers Experience Forklift certification is an asset Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation are preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English Strong commitment to workplace safety Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Important Information This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates must successfully complete the applicable pre-employment screening requirements, including testing under the Company's Drug & Alcohol Policy. A criminal record check is also required as part of the hiring process. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Candidates with a valid Temporary Work Permit are welcome to apply and will be required to provide appropriate documentation during the hiring process. Please note: This position does not qualify for an LMIA under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program or Rural Stream. This position is based at our Edmonton terminal. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently commute to the terminal.
