Fleet Manager (310T Required) – Kawartha Lakes & Haliburton | Travel Required Haliburton & Kawartha Lakes, ON Full-Time | Salaried | Start Date: ASAP Join a Trusted Community Transportation Team Kawartha Lakes Bus Lines and Haliburton Bus Lines are seeking a hands-on, experienced Fleet Manager (310T Licensed) to lead maintenance operations across two locations. Haliburton and Kawartha Lakes Bus Lines, this role oversees fleet performance, shop teams, and compliance, with regular travel between to two locations. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and support mechanics, apprentices, and shop coordinators at both locations Foster a positive, respectful, and safety-focused work environment Standardize shop practices and ensure consistency across both sites Maintenance Operations Oversee and schedule all repair and maintenance activities Monitor quality of work and provide performance feedback Provide technical guidance and support training initiatives Fleet Planning & Strategy Monitor fleet age, mileage, and reliability Recommend vehicle replacements and capital investments Support long-term fleet planning aligned with operational needs Budget, Inventory & Vendor Management Manage the consolidated maintenance budget across both sites Track expenses, analyze variances, and report regularly Ensure compliance with inventory control systems Develop and manage vendor and supplier relationships Health & Safety Enforce PPE use and adherence to all safety protocols Lead safety meetings and promote best practices Ensure all maintenance work meets safety and compliance standards Report hazards and unsafe conditions promptly Qualifications 310T Truck & Coach Technician Licence (required) Minimum 5–7 years experience in heavy-duty or commercial vehicle maintenance At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role Strong knowledge of: MTO regulations CVOR requirements Preventive maintenance and inspection standards Valid Class G licence (non-probationary) Class B licence (or willingness to obtain) Experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to learn fleet management software What We’re Looking For Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities A proactive, solution-oriented mindset Commitment to safety and continuous improvement Willingness to travel regularly between locations Why Join Us?
