Part-Time Driver Trainer Location: Sturgeon Falls, ON Company: Alouette Bus Lines Help Train the Next Generation of School Bus Drivers Alouette Bus Lines is seeking a Part-Time Driver Trainer to join our team in Sturgeon Falls. This rewarding position is ideal for an experienced school bus driver who is passionate about safety, mentoring others, and helping new drivers succeed. Training is scheduled based on hiring needs. During the school year, training typically takes place between morning and afternoon school bus runs. During Christmas Break, March Break, and the summer months, training is conducted during regular daytime hours. What You'll Do Deliver the Ministry of Transportation approved Class B licence training program. Coach, mentor, and evaluate new driver trainees. Complete all required training documentation and testing. Provide constructive feedback and progress updates to the Branch Manager. Deliver additional company training as required, including orientation, wheelchair securement, First Aid, School Bus Driver Improvement Courses, safety meetings, and other operational training. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Ministry regulations. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of continuous Class B licence experience is mandatory. Current Class B licence with a clean driving record. Clean Criminal Record Check and clean Driver's Abstract are required. Previous experience as a school bus driver. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, positive, and confident when coaching adult learners. Able to work independently while collaborating with the management team. Knowledge of Ontario Highway Traffic Act requirements.
