Grimshaw Trucking L.P. is currently seeking Experienced Class 3 or 5 P&D Driver for our busy Yellowknife Service Centre! Employment Status: Full Time Permanent Wage for this position is $32.90 Responsibilities Deliver and pick up general TL or LTL freight in a timely and professional manner Load and unload trailers as required Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete, freight is tag correctly Comfortable with handheld technology Comply with all safety regulations, requirements and company policies Maintain assigned schedule Routine terminal maintenance and caretaking as required Interact with customers ensuring quality customer service Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager Qualifications Valid Class 3 or 5 Driver’s License with a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience required Must provide current 5 year Driver’s Abstract 9 (must be within 30 days) City driving and highway certified an asset Knowledge of the city of Yellowknife and surrounding area Strong attention to detail Positive, pleasant and professional attitude Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Self motivated with the ability to take own initiative on projects Awareness of our Corporate Objectives and Principles Team Player – has respect for self and co-workers Ability to successfully pass fit for duty testing which includes medical, drug and criminal record check Does not require sponsorship to work in Canada ** Please note, you must currently reside in Yellowknife to be considered for this position** We offer: Health Benefits including an Employee Assistance Program Company pension after 9 full months of employment (managed by Teamsters Local 362) Yearly boot allowance (after 1 full year of employment) Scholarships A great work environment We thank all those for applying, however only those that meet our criteria will be contacted.
