Cabinet Refacing Technician $25 to $31/hr + bonuses, benefits, RRSP match and growth opportunities Full-Time, 4 Ten Hour Days | Lower Mainland | Company Vehicle Provided We’re Not Your Average Trades Job Kitchen Makeovers is a family-run company that gives kitchens a whole new look by refacing and refinishing cabinets instead of ripping them out. Homeowners get a kitchen they love again without the cost, waste and mess of a full reno, and you get to see the before-and-after with your own eyes on every job. We’re looking for a hands-on tech who takes pride in clean, precise work and wants to be part of a no-drama, all-action team. If you’ve done cabinet refacing, vinyl wrapping, painting or finish carpentry, you’ll hit the ground running. If you’re newer but detail-obsessed and coachable, we’ll train you on our system. What You’ll Be Doing Working in customer homes across the Lower Mainland. Most days you’ll start at our Aldergrove shop and take a company vehicle; some days you’ll drive your own car straight to the job site Prepping kitchens for refacing: masking, protecting floors and counters, cleaning, degreasing and sanding cabinet frames Applying vinyl wrap to cabinet frames, end panels and trim with clean edges and no bubbles or seams showing Painting cabinet frames by brush and roll for a smooth, even finish Installing new doors, drawer fronts, hinges and handles so everything lines up and closes right Keeping the job site clean and controlled every day, and leaving the customer’s home better than you found it Working solo or alongside other techs depending on the job Watch a video of our shop and process: A Heads-Up About the Schedule We work four 10 hour days a week (4 tens), starting at 7AM from the Aldergrove shop. The end time varies day to day depending on the job and location. Some days you’ll wrap early, some days go longer. If you need a set end time every single day, this probably isn’t the best fit. Average work week: ~40 hours over four days Who This Role Is For You’ve got 2+ years in painting, cabinet refacing, finishing, installation or residential renovations (preferred, but we’ll train the right person) You’re detail-obsessed. Crooked doors, visible seams and drips bug you You’re reliable, friendly and self-motivated, and you don’t need a manager over your shoulder to stay on task You’re polite, professional and presentable in customer homes You’re coachable and willing to work our way, then help make it better You can lift 50 lbs, be on your feet all day and work safely with PPE You have a valid driver’s licence, a clean abstract and a reliable vehicle for the days you head straight to site Bonus points if you have experience with: Vinyl wrap or film application (cabinets, vehicles or signage) Cabinet door and drawer installation, hinge adjustment, handle drilling Brush and roll finishing with waterborne cabinet paints Basic carpentry, caulking and patching What You Get $25 to $31/hr based on experience Bonuses and paid overtime Full benefits: extended health, dental, vision, life, disability RRSP matching Paid time off Company vehicle provided for job site travel (some days you drive your own car straight to site) Ongoing training and a clear growth path (Lead Tech, Spray Tech, Onsite Lead) A tight team that actually has your back Why People Love Working Here We’re not a giant corporation.
