Full job description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated FAST approved AZ Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves operating commercial trucks to transport freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Leaving from Stratford Ontario and travelling into the US, states like Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois. Drivers can be home same day or be out 1 - 2 nights depending on the run. Drivers will turn between 2000 - 2500 miles per week ** please note - we only pay on payroll ** pay breakdown: paid $0.57/mile + $26.52 per stop, including the first one + $10.20 for each border crossing + $24.48 per hour for picks or deliveries after 2 hours. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks in compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met. Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery manifests and shipping paperwork. Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to optimize delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times for reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding delivery statuses or issues. Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents or damage during transit. Qualifications Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with acceptable abstracts 3 years cross border experience A valid FAST card Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation. Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
