Job Title: AZ Driver/Plow Operator Location: Servicing clients across Ontario Reports To: Construction Manager Salary Range/based on experience: $37.00 to $39.00 Responsibilities Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by following all company policies and procedures Operate AZ-class commercial trucks safely and efficiently Deliver products, materials, and equipment to various work locations Load and unload trucks and secure loads properly Oversee cargo handling and equipment preparation Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and backhoes Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections ensuring safety and roadworthiness Inspect vehicles to confirm mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in proper working order Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage Maintain accurate logs and load-related documentation Clean up any debris caused by loading/unloading activities Follow all provincial and federal transportation regulations Assist with general site operations as required Qualifications Required · Valid AZ Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract Certification from a recognized Truck Driving School Proven experience operating heavy machinery Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance Knowledge of construction and job site safety standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic Preferred Experience Valid equipment operator certifications or tickets Additional heavy equipment experience Certifications The following certifications are considered assets: Ontario Working at Heights Utility Safety Partners (Locate Awareness) or equivalent First Aid & CPR WHMIS Confined Space Awareness Traffic Control Person Certification Ontario Book 7 Traffic Control Training Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoors year-round in Ontario weather conditions. Ability to travel to project sites throughout Ontario as required.
